Poletje je pravi čas, da si privoščite lahko, osvežilno in okusno hrano, ki vam bo pomagala premagati vročino. V tem prelepem času imamo na vrtovih že obilje sveže hrane za enostavno pripravo:
- solate; sveže sadje in zelenjava sta poleti obvezni. Solate so odličen način, da dobite svoj dnevni odmerek zelenja. Za pisano in okusno solato uporabite svežo solato, paradižnik, kumare, korenje in redkvice. Na vrh dodajte nekaj piščanca ali kozic, da bo popoln obrok. Nadgradite solato še s svežim sadjem, kot so jagode, melona, lubenica in citrusi.
- jedi na žaru; peka na žaru je priljubljena poletna metoda kuhanja. Je bolj zdrava opcija za kuhanje mesa in zelenjave ter vaši hrani doda bogat, dimljeni okus. Poskusite speči svojo najljubšo zelenjavo, kot so koruza, bučke, paprika in jajčevci. Marinirajte jih v svojih najljubših začimbah in postrezite kot prilogo ali pa jih vmešajte v solato. Meso na žaru, kot so piščanec, ribe in zrezki, so prav tako odlični za poletje.
KOROMAČ
Poletje je tudi pravi čas za uživanje vsestranske in aromatične zelenjave - koromača. Koromač je bogat z železom, kalcijem in magnezijem. Zaradi okusa, podobnega janežu, se koromač lahko uporablja v solatah. Slasten je tudi po drugih kuharskih tehnikah; dušen, pečen, ocvrt. Njegova hrustljava tekstura doda prijeten hrustljav ookus vsaki jedi. Tukaj je nekaj idej za vključitev koromača v vaš poletni jedilnik:
- solata s koromačem in pomarančami; na tanke rezine narežite koromač in pomaranče, jih prelijte s preprostim vinaigrett polivko in na vrhu potresite nekaj sesekljanih pistacij za čudovito poletno solato.

SLADOLED
Najbolj priljubljena poletna poslastica je sladoled. Ne glede na to, ali imate raje klasične okuse, kot je vanilija, ali bolj pustolovske, kot sta sivka in matcha, ni nič tako hladno osvežujoče kot je kepica sladoleda.
